A Brookings analysis earlier this year by University of Pennsylvania professor John DiLulio noted that Hillary Clinton lost theoverall white Catholic voteby 33 points in 2016, but four years later, Biden cut that deficit in half, losing by only 15 points.
The story never once mentions that J. D. Vance, Trump's running mate, is a 2019 convert to the Catholic faith and might represent as big a challenge for Harris as her abortion advocacy and her grilling of "a Catholic judicial nominee about whether he could remain impartial due to his membership in the Knights of Columbus, a respected Catholic fraternal organization".
In a frank speech to the 190 cardinals, bishops and heads of
religious orders taking part in the four-day summit, German Cardinal
Reinhard Marx said the church's administration had left victims' rights
"trampled underfoot" and "made it impossible" for the worldwide
institution to fulfill its mission. "Files that could have documented the terrible deeds and named those
responsible were destroyed, or not even created," said Marx, beginning a
list of a number of practices that survivors have documented for years
but church officials have long kept under secret. ...
Marx's admission to the church's destruction of files may have
special significance in his native Germany, where an exhaustive
September 2018 report on abuse in the country detailed cases involving
3,677 children but said files in at least two dioceses had been changed
or destroyed. ... At a press briefing after his address Feb. 23, Marx clarified that he
was referring in his speech to the September 2018 German report on the
destruction of files. "I have absolutely no information as to other
cases," said the cardinal.
Gleefully showcased here in The Wall Street Journal:
Mr. Trump’s support among white evangelical women stood at 58% in mid-October, down from the nearly 77% who voted for Mitt Romney four years ago, according to a poll from the Public Religion Research Institute, a nonprofit organization, conducted after the video. More than 70% of white evangelical men still support Mr. Trump. ... After voting Republican for her entire life, Ms. Dingle, [a Christian blogger] 34, declared her intention to vote for Mrs. Clinton. Being pro-life, she said, was about more than abortion—it also meant sticking up for immigrants, refugees and other groups.
Donald Trump is notorious for his sexual promiscuity.
Hillary Clinton is widely distrusted as an inveterate liar, including about even such small matters as the provenance of her own name.
Which is worse?
The answer from Dante's Inferno puts The Donald in the second circle of hell with all the lustful, just beneath Limbo, and Hillary in the eighth circle with all the fraudulent, just above Lucifer the father of lies, who is trapped in the ice at the very pit of hell.
'In 2008, Clinton told CNN that she had “tried to take my beliefs, my faith, and put it to work my entire life” to help others. In 2007, she told the network about how she prays regularly and carries a Bible in her purse.'
The story writer, Daniel Silliman, in fact offers a complete shorthand history of Hillary Clinton's liberal Methodist Christianity.
At one point he even writes that her faith was recently "on display" because she had an informed religious conversation with a Reverend in a bakery, documented conveniently by CNN, in which she demonstrated to him surprising and impressive knowledge of the "living word" of God. Silliman even links to that story for your convenience.
How nice.
No mention, however, of all those flying ashtrays and flying expletives in the White House years, or how the Secret Service to this day considers assignment to the Clinton detail a form of punishment. The Clintons are said to refer to them as "pigs" and routinely tell them to "f^$k off".
Faith was never so easy as it is in the hands of The Washington Post.
