Thomas Reese, RNS
Reese doesn't even make a case for the sacred right and duty to vote. He simply vents his frustration with voting in races which are never close.
I have always lived in places like New York City, Washington, D.C., and parts of California where the vote is rarely close.
He never mentions that these are Democrat one-party states, and gerrymandered to stay that way to boot. Gerrymandered millions of Republicans on the coasts have been second class citizens for decades as a result, but Reese hath no word of comfort for them. He can't even see them.
But Republican gerrymandering is baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad.
Texas Republicans let loose the virus of partisan gerrymandering . . ..
I once had a friend who was a man of the cloth who never voted as a matter of principle.
Gentiles exercise lordship over each other, not so with you (Luke 22:25f.). And call no man father, for God is your father, or rabbi, for you are all brothers (Matthew 23:8f.). He wouldn't accept any honorific title, even though he was a Rev. and a Dr.
They don't make them like Arthur E. Sekki anymore.
Or like Spengler.
Revolution, in the form of periodic mass elections fought by all available means of money, brains, and even - after the Gracchan method - physical violence, is exalted into a constitutional process.
-- Oswald Spengler
Don't forget that marriage between only a man and a woman was true from time immemorial, until a Republican appointed by Ronald Reagan decided it wasn't in 2015.
